I Don't Like Animals, Unless They Are Made of Bread

Today we made animals out of Rhodes dough. They were delicious. I love bread. I went to a Recipe Group tonight, and the theme was "Mexican Food." When it's my turn to host, I will choose "Bread" as my theme. And the bread can't be contaminated by fruits or vegetables. It can have variations of sugar, cream cheese and cinnamon, maybe some nuts, but that is all. I love bread so much.
Here is the crab model.

Here is our version of the crab, and an octopus, a sheep, a squid, a fish, and a pig.

Here is the frog model.

Here are our intrepretations of the frogs.

Your comment about Simon Cowie totally cracked me up! (is it collin cowie??) And yes, he was hiding under the piano with Martha Stewart and someone named Candace!

I love bread and pastry and pancakes and waffles...the whole bread family. I vote that chocolate chips be included as optional ingredients. Also cinnamon.

Also, your Rhodes menagerie is truly impressive. It makes me want to go have lunch.

There were few of the glutenous sculptures remaining when I got home.

It makes me sad to think our rich cultural heritage fell victim to the temptations of readily available butter and jam.

Alisa - so cute! Bread is my weakness (it has to be smothered in butter).
