Oh Tanenbomb! Merry Christmas!

CHRISTMAS EVE...
And it came to pass that the angel Gabriel appeared unto Mary and said, "Fear not, Mary; for thou hast found favor with God." "And thou shalt bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest."
And Mary said, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word."
Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem. But there was no room for them in the Inn.
The days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And Mary brought forth her firstborn son. And Joseph was there, helping her.
And they wrapped the babe in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." And the angel told the shepherds about the birth of the baby Jesus.
And the shepherds went in haste to see this thing which the Lord had made known unto them. And they found the babe lying in a manger.
There were wise men from the east, saying "Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."
And they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down and worshipped him.
And they presented unto him gifts: gold, and frankincense, and myrhh. And Mary kept these things and pondered them in her heart.

CHRISTMAS MORNING...

Christmas morning was early and loud and wonderful. There was much joy.
Henry's big thing was a nintendo DS. What's with the smile? Charlotte's big thing was a "mall" for her dolls, filled with girly things. Max's big thing was a youth shotgun. Great. When in Rome... Hannah's big thing was an ipod. She was overjoyed!

I was a little disappointed that you weren't naked in your Christmas card this year, but you made up for it with your fabulous rendition of the Nativity. Oregon just isn't the same without you!

Alisa!! I was so excited to get your Christmas card!! I am so shocked to see how much your kids have grown. They are beautiful!! And just as amazing as I remember. You truly inspire me.

Some of the few times I ever felt at home on my mission was in your home, and for that I will be forever greatful to you! Even if I smelled like fried clams at steak conference after. Or just sitting around the kitchen table laughing about how to say au jus were some of the happiest times for me. To pretend for a second like I was at home, did so much for me.

I sure love you!! Thanks for being such an amazing woman!! Love ya tons! (Sis.) Amanda Curran

Dave was jealous of your stack picture in the Christmas card so he had to stack our kids too. It actually was re-doing what he and his siblings did many years ago - a picture of the four of them stacked up when they were young. It came out good, he just had to hold up Nick. Tell Charlotte we like her Sonic gingerbread house. They just opened one up here in Peoria, but I'm not really excited since Sonic wasn't a favorite of mine. They do have a nice new sushi restaurant though! So again, where are you girl? You haven't written??
