Court of Honor

Max had a Court of Honor and he is almost a First Class. He has a good friend, Blake, and they do their scouting thing together. I pity their scoutmaster. I am always apologizing. But we love Max and are proud of him.

Max,
We salute you!
We are so proud of you!
You will have to teach Truman the ways of scouting and how to tie a knot. He is on the next flight to MS so you and he can go on an adventure weekend in the wilderness. He will bring juice and chocolate only!
First, can you teach him how to mind me?
thanks

At 11 years old, and after one week of camp, Max has matched the highest rank that I attained in my entire scouting career.

Who knew that going shooting and jostling around in the back of a Land Cruiser offered few opportunities for rank advancement?

Mostly I remember the night hikes where we weren't allowed to use a flashlight because it would ruin our night vision. Looking back, it was more like commando training than Scouts. Good Times...

Aaaaaand, "Eagle Scout" is on the horizon for both of these stellar young men! Kudos on your advancement, Max! You are setting a solid path toward a successful destiny! The future is YOURS! Maybe your dad still has a chance for course improvement, if he can keep up with ya!
